I lived in Avalon pines for two years. It is a beautiful place and staff was nice. Rent was way overpriced though and went up $200/year. Then when moving out they accused me of smoking in apartment in which I only smoked outside on patio and they charged me $1495 in damages to clean carpet and paint the walls. Beware they pull a bait and switch on you. Raised our rent by almost 300 in one year. There are many other nicer apartments that are more up to date with better amenities in the area for that amount of rent. Avoid this place! They also have annoying fire alarm testing all the time and lack of proper security and cameras. There is no pool and very little amenities for what you pay for. This is for Eaves Avalon Stamford connecticut. While moving out we asked for inspection in our presence but the staff in the office said that he can not do it right now though he was free. We had to rush to airport to catch our flight. We handed keys with full faith and trust in the community. We cleaned the apartment ourselves. My husband and I recently saw Avalon/San Bruno,Ca. We started the process of renting a 2bed2bath. We gave them a check for $2356. Upon further thought we decided against the unit. Where to even begin? I doubt that many will see this - only the good reviews are posted. But this needs to be seen. Everyone has different experiences, but this is mine. The first time I toured the place, we were interested in a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom. We've lived in Avalon communities for a few years now, moved to one closer to the city near us last year. Since then, we've had intermittent hot water and water pressure, with complaints filed on 11 separate occasions in ten months. For 4k a month you would think we could expect consistent hot water, and if the hot water tank needs to be replaced SURELY some of high rent would go towards that? AvalonBay fraudulently sued my housemate and I secretly without following WA State RCW, and managed to push it through the legal system without us knowing about it until an unknown person stapled a sheriff's writ to our door saying we were being forcefully removed on the 20th of January. After living at the Avalon Community apartments for over 14 years, I received an irate phone call by a Recovery Associate on 12/24/15 regarding the statement for the cleaning of the apartment. I always paid my rent on time and never been late in all the years I lived there, yet, I felt like a criminal for a $ 231.03 cleaning bill that was due on 12/30/15. BBB Business Review; overview; customer reviews: Avalon Bay Communities, Inc. This Business is not BBB Accredited does that say it all?!?!?
